Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. New and integrated treatments are being used to combat its devastating effects. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is being explored as a complementary approach to help manage certain side effects associated with conventional cancer treatments. While the evidence is still evolving, it shows potential in reducing radiation-induced tissue damage, supporting wound healing post-surgery, and addressing complications like osteoradionecrosis. The anti-inflammatory effects may alleviate discomfort.
