What is HBOT?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing oxygen in a pressurized environment.
How does it work?
In a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, the pressure is increased 2 to 3 times higher than normal atmospheric pressure. Under these conditions, you can gather much more oxygen than would be possible breathing oxygen at normal air pressure.
What to expect in the session?
• Relax in a pressurized chamber
• Comfortable clothing provided
• Sessions typically lasts 90 minutes
• Mild pressure changes may be felt in the ears, similar to flying. (Ear equalization techniques will be provided)
What it can help with:
The use of increased levels of oxygen combined with increased atmospheric pressure has been recognized by mainstream medicine for use in fourteen indications. At first glance, these conditions are unrelated, yet they have two common attributes at some level, these are hypoxia and inflammation.
- HBOT offers a unique approach for conditions associated with hypoxia and inflammation.
- By interrupting the hypoxia-inflammation cycle, HBOT can profoundly influence these conditions helping managing symptoms related.
- However, its crucial to emphasize that the specific effects of HBOT may vary based on the condition and individual factors.
