Equalizing Ear Pressure

During the first 5-10 minutes of the treatment period your ears will block due to the pressure changes and you must continuously unblock them during the pressurisation phase. For some this is easier to do than others, therefore, we have a few tricks which help:

  1. Chewing gum: For some a slight jaw movement is enough to unblock their ears, therefore chewing gum works well.
  2. Yawning, wiggling the ears or blowing of the nose may also help.
  3. Rubbing your neck right under the ears is also an effective technique.
  4. Drink Water

If you suffer from allergies, a cold or you are simply congested, please advise our staff before entering since this can make the pressurization process more difficult for you.
