Contexte<\/strong> Le COVID long est un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne courant \u00e0 la suite d’une infection par le COVID-19, qui touche jusqu’\u00e0 un patient sur trois. Le sympt\u00f4me le plus courant est la fatigue. Les options de traitement interventionnel sont limit\u00e9es. Nous rapportons la premi\u00e8re \u00e9valuation de l’oxyg\u00e9noth\u00e9rapie hyperbare (OHB) pour le traitement \u00e0 long terme du COVID.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9thodes<\/strong> Au total, 10 patients cons\u00e9cutifs ont re\u00e7u 10 s\u00e9ances d’OHB \u00e0 2,4 atmosph\u00e8res sur 12 jours. Chaque s\u00e9ance de traitement a dur\u00e9 105 minutes, consistant en trois expositions de 30 minutes \u00e0 100 % d’oxyg\u00e8ne, entrecoup\u00e9es de pauses de 5 minutes. Des \u00e9valuations valid\u00e9es de la fatigue et des capacit\u00e9s cognitives ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es aux jours 1 et 10. L’analyse statistique a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e \u00e0 l’aide d’un test de Wilcoxon sign\u00e9 par les rangs, rapport\u00e9 en m\u00eame temps que les tailles d’effet.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9sultats<\/strong> L’OHB a entra\u00een\u00e9 une am\u00e9lioration statistiquement significative de l’\u00e9chelle de fatigue Chalder (p=0,0059 ; d=1,75 (tr\u00e8s important)), de la cognition globale (p=0,0137 ; d=-1,07 (important)), des fonctions ex\u00e9cutives (p=0.0039 ; d=-1.06 (large)), l’attention (p=0.0020 ; d=-1.2 (tr\u00e8s large)), le traitement de l’information (p=0.0059 ; d=-1.25 (tr\u00e8s large)) et la fonction verbale (p=0.0098 ; d=-0.92 (large)).<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/strong> Une longue fatigue li\u00e9e au COVID peut \u00eatre d\u00e9bilitante et peut affecter les jeunes qui avaient auparavant un emploi \u00e9conomique.
